Georgia Milestones Testing

 Grades 3-8 Testing Schedule
Grades 3-8 Testing Schedule
The Georgia Milestones test is an important test for your child.  The results of this test can provide lots of valuable information about your child.  It identifies strengths and weaknesses, shows progress made during the school year, and helps evaluate the school program.
Here are some tips for you, as a parent,  to help your child to be prepared:
  • Make sure that your child gets a good night's sleep.  Going to bed a little earlier than normal may help them rest better.
  • Be sure that your child eats breakfast.  Breakfast is served daily at school.  No one can think well on an empty stomach.  Also, drink plenty of water.
  • Be sure your child is on time!  If testing has started, students coming in late will have to make up that test at another time. Being on time creates less stress on testing mornings.
  • Try to keep the peace at home and set a positive tone for the day.
  • Let them know that you are confident they will do their best!  Be positive and encouraging.
  • Remind your child to be sure and read each question and answer choice and to take his/her time.
  • Students should not bring electronic devices to school that day.  These are a violation of testing procedures and could cause your child's score to be invalid.
